Quick answers about Tarz, licences and payment.
Does Tarz work without internet?
Yes. The app works fully offline and your designs never leave your computer. A licence needs internet once to be activated, then a short online refresh every 30 days; after that date the app keeps working 30 more days before falling back to Free.
Which embroidery machines are supported?
Tarz reads and writes 13 formats: DST (Tajima), PES and PEC (Brother/Baby Lock), JEF (Janome), EXP (Melco), VP3 (Pfaff/Viking), XXX (Singer), HUS and SHV (Viking), PCS (Pfaff), DSB and U01 (Barudan) and TAP (Happy).
What is the difference between the editions?
Free exports up to 5,000 stitches per design. Atelier removes the limit for home machine formats and adds all fonts, motifs and auto-digitizing. Pro removes every limit and adds the manual tools, production worksheet and batch export. School adds teaching mode and several seats.
How can I pay?
In Algerian dinars: by CIB or Edahabia card on the gateway's secure page (we never see your card details), or by CCP / BaridiMob transfer or Yassir Cash with a receipt we check, depending on the methods available at checkout.
When do I receive my licence?
As soon as the payment is confirmed by the gateway. Your licence key appears in your account under “Licences” and is also sent by e-mail with the invoice.
On how many computers can I use my licence?
Each plan shows its number of computers (seats). You can see the activated devices in your account and free one yourself up to 3 times per 30 days.
Is the interface available in Arabic?
Yes. The interface is in English, with complete Arabic (right to left) and French translations. You can switch language at any time.
Can I open my existing machine files?
Yes. Machine files open as editable designs, and SVG artwork can be imported. Resizing recalculates the stitches instead of stretching them.
Can I get a refund?
Please read our refund policy. If the software does not work on your computer and support cannot solve it, contact us within the period described there.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. Every paid order has a PDF invoice in your account, under “Orders”.
My workshop has no internet at all. What can I do?
Contact support: we can issue a key bound to your computer that does not need online activation.
How do updates work?
Tarz can check for new versions and install signed updates. New versions are also listed on the Download page.
How does the AI designer work, and what does it cost?
You connect the AI provider of your choice with your own API key (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Mistral and others) and describe the design. The model composes it with Tarz's fonts and motifs and Tarz checks every version. The provider bills you directly, usually a few cents per design with a balanced model; Tarz adds no fee.
Can I use the AI designer without internet?
Yes, with a local model in Ollama or LM Studio on your computer: free, offline and private. Cloud models need internet only while they work on your request.
