Team names and batch export
Import a list of names and numbers, place them once in the design and export every version automatically.
Clubs, schools and companies often order the same logo with a different name and number for each person. With Team names, you prepare the design once and Tarz Studio produces every version.

1. Prepare the design
- Open or create the design (logo, badge…).
- Add a text object where the name goes, and another one for the number if needed. Choose the font, size, colour and stitch settings: every version will use them.
- Draw the name frame: select the text, then Text → Fit to frame and drag the frame handles to the maximum width and height allowed on the garment.
2. Import the list
- Open Production → Team names.
- Click Import CSV and choose a spreadsheet saved as CSV (UTF-8). The first row contains column titles, for example
Name;Number;Size. - Match the columns: Name → the name text object, Number → the number text object. Other columns (size, quantity) are kept for the file names and the worksheet.
- You can also type or paste names directly in the table. Arabic and Latin names can be mixed.

3. Check every version
- Use the arrows (or click a row) to preview each version on the canvas.
- Long names are fitted to the frame: the text is narrowed evenly until it fits; when it would become too narrow to sew, the row is marked in orange so you can shorten it or allow two lines.
- The machine check runs on every version; rows with a problem are marked in red.
4. Export the batch
Click Export batch and choose:
- One file per row: file names come from the list (for example
023_AMINE_10.dst); - One combined file: all versions one after the other, separated by a stop, for multi-head machines or a single long run.
The production worksheet lists every name with its quantity and the thread colours. You can also send the batch directly to your machines (see Send designs to your machines).
Tips
- Save the list with the design (Team names → Keep list in design) to reuse it for the next order.
- For Arabic names, keep the name frame at least 8 mm high.
